All Hail Alessandro Pierguidi and Antonello Coletta
Ice blooded Alessandro was the man of the Great Race, the hundredth Le Mans, the race of the century. Under the rain he was faster by ten seconds a lap (like a new Gilles Villeneuve in Watkins Glen 1979) than the opposition and he overcame huge difficulties. His also the tremendous overtake against none other than Sebastian Buemi from the outside under braking…
Big Praise also for the organizer of the whole Feat, Antonello Coletta, for Chief Technical Officer Ferdinando Canizzo and his men for building a bulletproof red bolide the Ferrari 499 p, and for the wonderful president John Elkan who still gets his… butt kicked in Formula 1 (but not for long…) and whose strong political will brought Ferrari to Le Mans and Wec after 50 years, a thing that dreaded Luca di Montezemolo who actually crippled the plurivictorious (53 wins and 11 international titles won between 1994-2002) 333 sp program…
And certainly there is much more to come, add and gain, also in IMSA...
